Hey folks, it's spring time, and that means two things: love is in the air, and comic fans feel the need to cram into large arenas and start spending all the money they've saved up over the winter
on limited edtion Vampirella statues and autographs from people they just met!

The Motor City Comicon is a melting pot of many, many wild and disturbing people, and there's no place I'd rather be. Highlight of the show (for me personally) was hearing voice actor George Lowe (the voice of Space Ghost on "Space Ghost Coast to Coast") make fun of my name over the PA while announcing my participation in the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund "Drawing Duel". ("Paul Sizer...say, have you ever needed one of those? You know, when you have a Paul, and you need to know what size it is..?" Comedy gold, I tells ya!)

The other big event for me at this con was letting people know that I have just gotten engaged to Jane Irwin, the artist and writer of VOGELEIN! We've been dating for the last year, and decided to make it official at the beginning of May. Some of my comic compatriots (namely all the posters
at SEQUENTIAL TART) were well aware of this development, but I thought I'd hedge my bets and
let the rest of the comic world know...
